Fall Registration

Again this year we are offering you the opportunity to register for fall classes during dress rehearsal and at all three recitals. 

 

If your account is paid in full through June, you have the opportunity to register for fall classes without having to pay the annual registration fee or tuition increase.

 

Here’s what you should do:  Find the classes you want on the attached fall schedule.  Fill out the registration form in full.  Include your September tuition and hand it in at the “registration table” located in the lobby of East Ridge High School.  If you choose to pay for more months at that time you will save that much more.

 

Fall classes begin on Monday, September 13th.  You will receive a confirmation in the mail the week before lessons begin. 

 

If you prefer, you can register at our open house which will be held at the studio on: Tues., Wed, Thurs. Aug 24-26 and Tues., Wed., Thurs. Aug. 31-Sept. 2 from 6-8 pm.  At that time a registration fee and price increase will take effect.

 

 Please remember there is a tuition payment due for June as tuition is divided into 10 equal payments.

 

 

 

Summer Classes

5 Star Dance Studio is excited to offer a “2 Much Fun” class for 2 and 3 year olds.  Please inquire at the desk to register.

 

Combination Classes

Begin on Tuesday July 14th and runs 6 weeks at the cost of just $75.00  The schedule for combo classes is as follows:

 

Age 3-4                       6:00-6:45pm

Age 5-7                       7:00-8:00pm

Age 8 & up                 8:00-9:00pm

 

Hip-Hop Classes

Begin on Tuesday July 14th and the cost is just $75.00 or the reduced rate of $50.00 if taken with another class.  The schedule for hip-hop is as follows:

 

Ages 8-12                    6:00-7:00pm

Ages 13 & up             7:00-8:00pm

 

Pointe Class

Begins on Wednesday July 14th and runs for 6 weeks through Aug. 18th.  The cost of Pointe is just $75.00 or $50.00 if taken with another class.  Included in the cost is the Showtroupe ballet technique from 8-9pm to be properly warmed up for Pointe which follows from 9:00-9:45.

Summer classes begin Wednesday July 15th.

 

Dress Rehearsal Monday and Tuesday, June 14th and 15th at East Ridge High School

Make sure to check the back of your newsletter for specific times to come to East Ridge High School, in Woodbury, for on-stage rehearsal.  Your student should be dressed in their “tap” costume and ready to dance at their scheduled time.

 

You may take flash photos and video at dress rehearsal but please do not take pictures and videos the day of the recital.

 

At dress rehearsal, your teacher will have the order of the recital to let you know which costume to bring your child dressed in the day of the show. 

 

The following will be available at dress rehearsal:  Recital t-shirts, tickets, flower orders, fall registration forms, summer lesson forms, video order forms, and volunteer information.  If you have signed up to volunteer, please confirm your position and pick up your free ticket for volunteering at the back of the auditorium with Ms. Diane. 

 

Please check in with Ms. Diane at the show you signed up to volunteer for by 6:00 pm.

Tryout for Showtroupe Dance Company

We are still accepting forms for our Showtroupe Dance Company.  Tryouts are scheduled for Wed. June 2nd and Wed. June 9th.  If you would like to tryout please see the staff at the front desk for information and complete a form. 

 

The tryout consists of a 1 hour audition at the cost of $20.00.  We try to keep it stress-free so kids can come and have fun while they learn technique and tryout at the same time.  Please bring tap and ballet or jazz shoes and be dressed in appropriate dancewear.  It should be a fun experience for students.

 

 

Auditions are open to students entering grades 3-12 in the fall.

Wed. June 16:            7:00pm

Thurs. June 17:         7:00pm

Fri. June 18:              7:00pm

Tickets are available at the door for $11.00

All seats are general admission and have a wonderful view of the stage.

We suggest you arrive no earlier than 6:30 pm., drop your child off with his or her teacher, pick up your child’s photos and flowers if you ordered some and enjoy the show.

Directions to East Ridge High School

From the Studio:

Start out going NORTHEAST on Wooddale Drive towards Woodlane Drive.  Turn RIGHT onto Woodlane Drive.  Turn LEFT onto Bailey Road.  (Pass through 1 roundabout).  Turn RIGHT onto Pioneer Drive.  East Ridge High School is located at 4200 Pioneer Drive  Woodbury, MN 55129
